Gravel Types and Pricing
Using our Tri-Axle Dump Truck, we are able to haul up to 18 tons per load. We have the best prices around. Using our commercial discount with Vulcan Materials, we can usually save the customer $75-$150 per gravel load. We pass this savings on to you, the customer, saving you money on your gravel needs. Prices below are based on 18 ton loads and which gravel type you select.
ABC-M This is our most common used stone for gravel driveways and parking areas. I’ve used this type of stone for nearly 15 years and have never had a complaint about it yet. It’s a mixture of 80% gravel (#57 in size) and 20% crush which allows me to pack tight and helps prevent erosion. $915 per 18 Ton Load
Spec 57 Washed Stone This is a clean washed stone used on existing gravel driveways and parking area where the gravel base is already established. Customers like this stone because it’s clean and contains no crush mixed in. $1,075 per 18 Ton Load
Railroad Ballast This larger stone is 3 inches in size and is a great choice for heavier vehicles like boats, RVs and work trucks. This is what you see when crossing railroad tracks. When this rock locks in on itself, it stays in place. A great choice to prevent erosion issue areas. $1,075 per 18 Ton Load
#5 Spec Washed Stone This is a clean 1 inch stone similar to Spec 57 but just a little larger. Typically used on existing gravel driveways and parking area where gravel base has already been established. It’s a clean stone with no crush mixed in. $1,075 per 18 Ton Load
Pea Gravel/#78 This is your smaller, pea size clear washed stone gravel. Customers like this stone for driveways and walkways. It typically does not pack like the larger stone do so keep that in mind when ordering. $1,130 per 18 Ton Load
ABC This is your typical crusher run. It’s 50% gravel and 50% rock dust. It usually runs about $1 less per ton than the ABC-M. $900 per 18 Ton Load
Washed Screenings This is the sand like material that is generated when they make large rocks into small rocks. Customers with horse ranches love this material for horse stalls and around barns. It holds up much better than typical river sand. $900 per 18 Ton Load
Class A Rip Rap This is the baseball to softball size rock. Great for ditch lines and drainage areas. $1,300 per 18 Ton Load
Class B Rip Rap This is the larger football to basketball size rock. Typically used for heavy erosion areas and bank retention needs. $1,300 per 18 Ton Load
